Complaints

Most people are happy with the care they receive from the NHS, but sometimes things don’t go quite as expected.  Everyone has a right to complain if they feel something has gone wrong, and for this reason the NHS has a Complaints Procedure which can help you to get the answers and explanations you are seeking.

To make the system easier to navigate Healthwatch England have worked with Citizens Advice to produce a series of guides to help you make a complaint or raise a concern. There are tips and tools such as letter templates and other practical resources to support you to make an effective complaint.
