Meet the Healthwatch Gloucestershire team
Healthwatch Gloucestershire Manager
My role is to manage Healthwatch Gloucestershire’s Volunteer and Engagement Team. Through engagement with the public, we listen to people’s experiences of health and care services, what they like, and what can be improved. The role also has responsibility for the volunteering programme, Healthwatch Gloucestershire volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and be involved in many activities, including; Enter and View, Project work and Community Engagement.
My role is to oversee, coordinate and manage all volunteers that are part of Healthwatch Gloucestershire. This involves assessing and meeting Healthwatch Gloucestershire’s needs through the recruitment, support and supervision of volunteers. The role also includes identifying and leading on new projects which reach into local communities.
My role is working with the volunteers to get out and talk to local people about their experiences of health and care services in Gloucestershire. I collate the feedback and use this to look for trends and themes of the key messages. These will then be fed into the commissioners and providers of the services to make sure that local people’s experiences influence how services are managed and provided.
The Team Administrator’s role is to support the general running of the Healthwatch Gloucestershire office. This involves admin support such as preparing documents, organising meetings, answering the phone and email enquiries and supporting the Steering Group.
